Getting around Swansea

Swansea has a good variety of transport methods available for residents and visitors

Park and Ride – 01792 636466 or 483040
A park and ride service operates from Landore and Fabian Way throughout the year (follow signs as you approach Swansea from M4 Jct 42).  The vehicles are fitted to assist passengers with mobility problems.

By bus – contact Traveline on 0870 608 2 608
Buses between Swansea City Centre and Mumbles run every 10 minutes on weekdays and enhanced services may run in conjunction with some special events.  Enquire about value for money FirstDay and FirstWeek tickets giving unlimited travel at exceptional value.  Tickets are available on buses.  Extra summer special services run to Mumbles and Caswell Bay.

Cycling is a great way to explore the Swansea Bay area.  The route from Swansea’s Maritime Quarter to Mumbles will take you along the sweep of Swansea Bay.  This area forms part of the ‘Celtic Trail’, a Millennium funded project, a long distance National Cycle Route covering the breadth of south Wales.

Community Transport – 01792 474477
Community Transport is available for people who have no private means of transport and are unable to use conventional public transport because they are elderly, disabled or there is no suitable service available to them.  For further details contact the Swansea Mobility Helpline above.
